When we travel, we chase more than views—we chase flavors and stories. Lisbon didn’t disappoint. On our latest trip, we found two restaurants that reminded us why we love exploring the world. One is a century-old local treasure. The other? A rainy-day surprise with soul-warming ramen. Here are two of our favorite Lisbon food moments.
Grelha do Carmo – Traditional Portuguese, Made with Heart
R. da Condessa 3A, 1200-120 Lisboa
Tucked behind the bustle of Chiado is Grelha do Carmo, a family-run restaurant that’s been serving locals for nearly 100 years. The food? Absolutely delicious. The pork chops were perfectly grilled, and the fresh octopus was some of the best we’ve had—tender, flavorful, and beautifully simple.
What stood out even more was the warmth. The owners treated everyone like family, and the prices were incredibly fair for the quality. It’s the kind of place you remember long after your trip ends. We went almost every day.
Pro tip: Go early or expect a line—locals love this spot too.
Ramen House Aska – A Rainy Day Surprise
Tv. do Carvalho 13, 1200-097 Lisboa
When a storm hit Lisbon, we ducked into the nearest open door—and stumbled on Ramen House Aska. And what a surprise it was. A small, cozy ramen shop with flavorful broth, perfect noodles, and a vibe that felt like a hug in a bowl.
The owner came out to chat with each table, and the place had that homey, welcoming feel we always chase on our trips. It might not be Portuguese food, but it’s Lisbon’s diverse, unexpected charm at its best.
Because Food Inspires Fashion Too
At Parce, our travels fuel our creativity—from prints and textures to the stories we tell through clothing. These two restaurants reminded us that great design and great food have something in common: they’re made with care and meant to be shared. Follow our women's collection, because we were so inspired by Portugal, we will be launching a Lisbon-inspired Portugal Pant
